Anticipate the Market But Don't Hold on Too Tight

THE WEEK

Looking at the Market Price/Action this past week, it was nothing like I anticipated.  What I thought is we would have a quiet slightly up week because all the major economic announcements were over and only a small handful of earnings announcements were scheduled.  Here’s reality.'

Note to self:  Anticipate but don’t get married to my thoughts.  Trade what I see – the reality!

LOOKING AHEAD

This is the end on the 2^nd quarter of the year.  Sticking my neck out once again – I think the start of the week will be quiet and flat with Thursday and Friday’s volume picking up as quarter end adjustments are being made.   Fed Chair Jerome Powell is schedule to speak on Wednesday 06/28/23 at 9:30am Eastern and Thursday 6/29/23 2:30pm Eastern.  As head of the Fed, which controls short term interest rates, he has more influence over the U.S. dollar's value than any other person. Traders closely watch his speeches as they are often used to drop hints regarding future monetary policy.

HOW AM I DOING?

Another decent trading week finished.  My DATA trading account is up 115% in 9 weeks of live trading.  Next week is the final week of DATA and actually the end of DATA.  We are restructuring the course based on the in-depth evaluation of DATA.  Our new course is called the Quantum Trading Method.  Each Market Day there is a 45 minute live session where we analyze the Market, pick trades that look good, massage bad trades back to profit and discuss new trading ideas.  I love this class not only because I get to help folks become better thinking traders but it has also helped my own trading listening to all my trading buddies’ ideas and trade suggestions.  The synergy is incredible.

Every Thursday there is a Webinar for all my Investing Buddies.  We pick topics to take Deep Dives on that relate to what is happening currently.  This week there will be a slight detour.  At the end of every quarter, I evaluate all my trades for that quarter.  I am looking for patterns, changes in the Market, new ways to squeeze even more profit from my trades and, most important, analyzing my mistakes so I won’t repeat bad trading patterns and habits.
