When you first decide to learn to trade options and stocks, there are a bewildering number of choices to make.  The first and one of the most important choice is picking the right trading platform.  These days you have a lot to choose from and I am here to help you narrow down those choices. That's why today I'm talking about the best platform for options trading!

So let’s start your journey by narrowing down the first choice you must make –choosing a good trading platform.  At the end I am going to give you my choices of the best of the best.  To get started I think it is important to understand how the stock market works. 

Online trading platforms have taken the place of the agent who took your order to the exchange and bought and sold the position you wanted to trade.  Some of those agents are stock brokers formed their own digital trading platforms such as Fidelity and Charles Schwab.  At first these platforms were pretty weak and some have gotten much better in recent years.
