Stock Market Pattern Disruptor

THE WEEK

Friday a week ago (8/18) we saw a candle pattern called Bullish Piercing. This pattern generally shows a Market getting its footing and ready to move up which it did. Then on Thursday we saw another pattern disruptor along with high volume. It was a big down day. In our Quantum Trading Group, we were prepared for the disruption before the Market opened. We saw the signs and got our trades adjusted early and weren’t hurt.

We knew the trading on Friday was an unknown factor as FOMC’S Chairman Powell was giving his annual speech from Jackson Hole, WY. Quantum folks were prepared with a game plan and adjusted quickly to the herd reaction to the speech.

LOOKING AHEAD
This coming week we have some major economic announcements. Over the past three years these announcements have been major disruptors with trading herd reactions all over the place. I will trade with caution.

HOW AM I DOING?
It was an OK week. I had a gain of 2.2% while the Market lost -1.6% for the week. We have two more weeks in this Quantum session. My goal is always to double my account balance during the sessions. A miracle would have to happen to meet that goal. I don’t like making my goals but I am OK with how I am doing considering what I was looking at over the last 6 weeks: wonky up for a week, then sideways for a week, then soft up and down for a couple of weeks, then down hard and this past week up and then hit by disruptors at the end of the week. UGH.

The response to Thursday’s webinar on Spotting Trend Changes Early was really incredible. I received a lot of emails and texts telling me how important what I shared was to their trading.
