The Stock Market is Settling

The Week
Three weeks ago, when money started flowing into the Market, stock prices went up. Nothing in
the economy has changed, but I felt a general acceptance of our current condition. There is no
longer a panic and jittery feeling emanating from people, the economy or the Market.
The monthly Jobs Report happened on Friday before the Market opened. Even though the
report came in as expected, the trading herd sold off early. I believed the reaction to the report
would be short lived and it was. I had decided just to not make any adjustments and just wait
out the reaction. Prices did recover. No new monies flowed into the Market. And the Market
ended flat for the week.

The one note of caution is the Price/Action on all the indices dropped below the upward
diagonal support that had formed. A new horizontal resistance area showed on both the S&P
and the Russell indexes. NASDAQ was the exception with tech stocks getting a little stronger.
I think this is more a resting area than the start of a roll over and I traded accordingly. I have
more positions on now than I have had at any one time for the past year.

How did I do?
It was another good week. That is the beauty of trading options over stocks. The Market was
flat but with options you can make money no matter the direction of prices.
